Measles in Nephrotic Syndrome

What is the relationship between measles and Nephrotic Syndrome?
As for this, different experts hold different opinions. Generally, there are two main different ideas.
Firstly, Nephrotic Syndrome is a series of clinical symptoms, which is not a dependent disease. The clinical manifestations are a large amount of proteinuria, edema, low protein in plasma (hypoproteinemia), and hyperlipemia. About 2/3 of adult Nephrotic Syndrome and most children Nephrotic Syndrome are primary Nephrotic Syndrome, which is caused by primary renal glomerular disease, acute renal glomerular disease, progressive renal glomerular disease and so on.
According to what the experts point out, Nephrotic Syndrome is a refractory disease, the inducement of which includes many aspects: such as flu, acute pharyngitis, tonsillitis, nasosinusitis, abscess of gum, scarlet fever, chicken pox, and measles. So, from the above mentioned, we can get a conclusion that measles is a kind of inducement of Nephrotic Syndrome.
Secondly, however, others hold different ideas, thinking that measles is one manifestation of Nephrotic Syndrome, which is caused by allergy. Allergy is caused by weak immune ability of the body. Long time application of hormone can lead to the decrease of immune ability. In addition, hormone can not repair the damaged intrinsic cells, thus treating Nephrotic Syndrome from root.
So patients with Nephrotic Syndrome are suggested to adopt immune therapy in our Hospital, which includes Chinese Medicine, stem cells and so on. Take Chinese Medicine for example. It contains many nutritious and active materials, which can repair the damaged intrinsic cells and increase the immune ability, which is hard to achieve for western medicine for Chinese Medicine can promote the blood circulation, including micro-blood circulation and dissolve the stasis in the blood. In addition, in contrast to the western medicine, it has no side effects, and is easy to operate.
Besides these, patients with Nephrotic Syndrome will also adopt stem cell transplant, which can also increase the immunity and the injection of Treg cell, one stem cell is free of charge.
We believe that, after this, patients with Nephrotic Syndrome will revive the renal function and increase the immune ability. In this case, the symptom measles will disappear accordingly.

  1. Measles at age 5 caused nephrotic syndrome. Any infection I get needs to be treated with antibiotics to avoid a flare-up of nephrotic syndrome. Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago, 1955, treated me for nephrotic syndrome. Said it would not come back, but of course, it did and will again if an infection is present. I was the experiment kid for steroids. I received the pill form and the other kids got the shots. Lucky me.
