Rena failure in children can be caused by congenital kidney disease, abnormal urinary tract, nephritis, and so on. At the early stage, children usually have increased urine at night, increased thirst, poor appetite, weakness, slow grow and anemia, etc. Some can even feel nausea after being infected. Once renal failure develops into uremia stage, children will need to dialysis or take kidney transplant, which brings more burden to the family.
So early diagnosis is very important, and through regular urine test, we can find out some latent disease. For example, if in the morning, children are found out to have swelling in eyelids, increased foam in urine, and they also have unexplained fever, anemia, increased thirst, increased urine at night, and so on, they should go to have a systematic exam in the hospital so as to get early diagnosis, and take early treatment.
Generally, urine test is the common test for children kidney disease. If in the exam, there shows the following abnormal symptoms, It indicates that parents should attach importance.
1. swelling. There will be edema in eyelids or face, which usually disappears in the afternoon. Swelling will worsen after they do more exercise.
2. There are abnormal cells in urine such as proteins, red blood cells, white blood cells, urine sugar and so on, in which case, parents should let children do further examination.
3. Abnormal amount of urine. Generally, in a day, a baby has about 400 to 600 ml urine, children before going to school have 600 to 800 ml urine, and children who have go to school have 800 to 1400 urine in a day. So increased or decreased urine all can be a signal for kidney disease.
Once children are diagnosed with kidney failure, they are suggested to have Chinese Medicine, which has no side effect and will not influence the growth of children.
